Course Overview:

Our Puppy Etiquette Course is designed for dog owners with puppies aged between 6 and 12 months who are eager to instill good manners and obedience in their furry companions. This course focuses on essential skills for a well-behaved pup, preparing both you and your dog for real-world situations.

Course Modules:

Walking Politely on Leash:

Teach your puppy to walk without pulling or lunging.

Owners will demonstrate leash skills by walking near other dogs and people.

Ensure your dog walks closely without jumping up or lunging.

Teach Sit:

Command your dog to sit and remain in position until released.

Develop a solid foundation for obedience and control.

Teach Stay:

Train your pup to stay in place on a long leash.

Your dog must remain seated until you return.

Greeting Others:

Your dog must stay in a sitting position next to you.

No getting up for any reason while greeting others.

Recall:

Train your dog to recall on a long leash.

Ensure your pup comes straight to you without veering off.

Stay with Leash Tethered to Floor:

Practice stay with the leash tethered to the floor.

Your dog should distinguish between recall and stay commands.

Testing Day:

This program serves as the on-leash version of other dog “citizens classes” and is akin to the Canine Good Citizen class on steroids. Unlike traditional classes where dogs sit in circles and receive treats, we empower owners to train their dogs for real-world scenarios. Our classes replicate actual situations, setting your puppy up for success.

Class Benefits:

Prepares your pup for our adult Off-Leash training program.

Acts as a prerequisite for our puppy version of the Stride program.

Develops a strong owner-dog bond through effective training techniques.

Class Details:

Accepting: 4-9 months of age only.

Duration: 4 Weeks
