My boyfriend and I have a 22 month old female Cane Corso (Faye). We worked hard to train and socialize starting around 12 weeks old. At 4 months she decided she hated everything and everyone (except her family). We reached out to a lot of trainers; each one said to keep doing what we're doing, it just takes time. At 20 months I thought I was the worst dog owner and nothing could make Faye feel happy and trusting of my direction. When we met Stephen he surprised me with his assessment and confidence in correcting Faye's behavior and our leadership. He promised we'd get back to taking her out in public within a few months. Under two months here I am walking her into Home Depot with complete confidence in myself and her. I know the journey is not over but we continue to move in the right direction. I am truly grateful for Stephen and his team (Dan! For great one on one training on his personal time / Hannah and Rain for their detailed classroom work / Dominic for his advice on real world videos). They are knowledgeable and create the opportunities we need to teach our girl, what's good behavior and what's not. She is intrinsically motivated and wants to please us; not bribed with treats! There is nothing I want more than to give Faye a happy and healthy life. Knowing that I can lead my 100+ lb mastiff without feeling worried and anxious is an amazing feeling and I would have given anything for it! My advice for anyone starting training is to know yourself, learn your dog and own your own success. Some lessons we learn needed to be adapted to our situation, and they were. If you are unsure how something works, ask! Work with the trainers, be open and honest and ask the same authenticity in return. You will be so glad you made this choice and I can't wait to meet you in a future class or meet up! I'm rooting for you too!

Working with AAK9 was the best decision I ever made with my dog, Bodhi. We tried a couple of other trainers prior to AAK9 that were treat based and my 1 year old lab was more focused on getting the treats than doing what I asked. With Stephen, he had Bodhi and I walking well together on a leash after the first visit. We now can do 3+ mile walks with no issues, even when passing other dogs. Bodhi used to get over excited and not be able to handle himself well when he passed dogs; he would drag me down the street with him. Now I have full control and we are both confident and not anxious on our walks. We have started Pawrate classes and are having such a fun time working together. I am learning confidence, and so is Bodhi. He has learned multiple commands without it even feeling like training. Every week we look forward to our classes, Bodhi knows when it’s Sunday and he flies down to the car for his ride to class. Stephen has made training with Bodhi a pleasure, not a chore. It’s given Bodhi and I such a tight bond and we are so excited to continue this training to the next levels for years to come.

I cannot put into words how happy I am with how our training has gone with AAK9, after our first at home session we went from a dog that would almost pull you down seeing another dog or squirrel, to a dog who heels right by your side. I said to my husband, I don't care if we don't learn anything else - the fact walking the dog is not a hassle anymore is more than worth the money - but yet we have thrived.
Gunner has gone from an unconfident rescue dog where we knew zero background, to a dog that lays down next to me in a coffee shop not caring that there are 15+ people around - looking for belly rubs from anyone who will pass by. Not only did our training sessions help us learn the skills we need for off leash hiking, it has taught us how to react properly when there are other dogs, how to greet small children, how to not rush at the door when some arrives and how to behave in public situations without making any sort of scene. I can't wait to see what the future has for us with this program, and love the community that Steve & the AAK9 team is building of dog owners who just want whats best for their K9 companions.

Master Medina and his Trainer Hannah have changed the way I handle, respond, react and most importantly, TRAIN my dog. Murph is our first Vizsla and I wanted to be sure that this “high performance” animal was given the proper home he REQUIRED as a family pet. Master Medina continues to guide us as Murph ages and, educates us on Murph’s “drive” while also establishing and maintaining control. At 7 months, my puppy runs besides me off leash (at home and in public) without waivering, responds to voice commands when in the yard, follows leash commands without the embarrassing tugging, and has accepted his role in our home as a “family memeber” but also as a dog. Master medina’s program is not for the lazy or weak minded. If you are NOT WILLING to follow his guidance and put in the work, this program is not for you. HOWEVER- if you want a non agressive animal, if you enjoy being complimented on your pet’s behavior in public, yearn for a dog that listens AND responds….. THIS PROGRAM IS YOUR SOLUTION. We are amazed at the progress that our one-year-old dog Chance has made after just a few lessons with Stephen! Chance struggled with walking on a leash and was very reactive to other dogs. We can now say he walks almost flawlessly and continues to improve with distractions on walks thanks to Stephen’s techniques. Dealing with strangers coming into the house was also hard for Chance, but once again, the K9 academy has taught us how to welcome guests without Chance getting upset. We would recommend All American K9 Academy to anyone looking for a better relationship with their dog filled with love and respect. Chance’s next step is the Pawrate program, and we couldn’t be happier to continue our training at the K9 academy!

All American K9 Academy offers the most comprehensive training for my family and our 2 dogs. They worked with myself, my partner, and my 2 teenage children to establish proper handling techniques, and enforce safety protocols. We have achieved communication and control of our beloved canine companions, in addition to the bond that continues to build with the trainings, group outings, and skill building exercises . We started with in home training, and have joined the Pawrate weekly group training sessions. We are grateful that trainers are able to design their training plan around each dog and can offer solutions for dogs one on one and in group settings.

We decided to contact All American K9 Academy to train our new puppy after reviewing the website and seeing how they would train your dog in your home, teaching not only the dog, but us how to work with the dog ourselves. We were contacted by Steve who came to the house that night to meet the dog and go over the training he would provide. We signed up on the spot and started our training the next night. Steve was amazing! He broke instruction down in to chunks that were understandable for both us and our puppy. He promised us a wonderful Christmas only 4 weeks later and at first we were skeptical but after the first week we started to believe. Fast forward four lessons and four weeks later and our dog was the talk of our Christmas Eve party! She went to her crate each time the door bell rang. She only greeted guests after we called he out to do so. She did not jump and would sit at the feet of our guests if she wanted to be pet. And with all the food, she never begged once. I have heard of the horse whisperer, well Steve is the dog whisperer. We could not be any more pleased by the results. Do not hesitate to contact All American K9 Academy in North Attleboro. I have to admit I was very hesitant to sign up for training with Stephen at All American K9 Academy. Our past experience with training for little Sierra was basically a waste of time and money. After meeting with Stephen and seeing a class in action, I decided to give it a couple of weeks and see how it goes. After a couple of weeks, I want sold on the process. But, late one night, as I walked Sierra, everything came into play and I couldn’t have been happier and more proud of my little girl.
I can now see what (and why) they are teaching and can honestly say that we are now along for the ride and have added our second dog, Cotton, to the group. I’m really impressed with the progress we have made and can see a dramatic improvement in both of our dogs handling. Thank you All American K9.

If you're willing to do the work and implement the strategies they provide you the training they teach you WILL ABSOLUTELY WORK! We have a purebred Saint Bernard who weighs 167-170lbs of straight muscle who prior to their training, I couldn't walk down our driveway without getting dragged let alone being able to leave the yard without ensuring our massive dog wasn't securely attached to our 100lb grounded dog runner.
Now, I leave the leash on as formality, but when I'm leaving our yard or anything really- if I tell my dog to sit and stay... He will do exactly what I say, when I say it.

Great trainers for ALL dog types! I see some review that mention aggressive or harsh training…it’s not true. I have seen very people and dog aggressive dogs CURED. Two dogs in my family have gone and let me tell you…you can’t put a price on a piece of mind that your dog isn’t going to attack someone or another animal. Making the dog and you happier. You need to put the time in and if you can’t then don’t have a dog - dogs are a lot of responsibility and can be very dangerous so if you aren’t willing to put in the effort for real training that will last this isn’t the place for you.
My dog isnt aggressive at all, some guarding but really struggled with anxiety and fear. Stephan and his team changed my dog he’s a confident and HAPPY dog with me. This is because of choke and shock collar training. It’s both positive and negative reinforcement training. Here’s what I posted recently about bishops training:
I am SO PROUD OF HIM!!!! 2 months ago I couldn’t take bishop into any store or around strangers because he was absolutely terrified of them both. If something were to have startled him (which everything did) he would throw his body around and it was impossible for me to control him. Making it dangerous to walk near streets and cars.
TODAY, bishop went to 2 different malls and 3 shops…even an elevator. He was by my side the entire time with loose leash. I am soooo proud of him. I could even tell him to wait and walk away without him moving. Hard work pays off buddy!

The team at All American K9 Academy and their “Pawrate” program changed our LIFE! We adopted a 1 year old shepherd mix, Sugar, that had some serious behavioral issues including biting, lunging and no ability to be walked on a leash. We had 4 in home sessions over 4 weeks and entered into the weekly training classes. Within the first 4 weeks we had a NEW dog that knew what was expected behavior of him. All it took was hard work, good direction and training and a leash and collar. NO treats, distractions, baby talk or pinning him down or brute force. Just a simple collar and leash! (Which they provide).
I have been a veterinary technician for over 10 years and I was hesitant to reach out for help because “I had this”. I did NOT have it! Steve and his trainers never make you feel stupid or like it’s your fault in fact they repaired the relationship between my whole family and this dog.
We will continue going to classes until we get our black belt! Not only because Sugar continues to improve and learn new things but also because he absolutely LOVES this class and his teachers!

o my wife and I both thought we were experienced with dogs and had everything under control until with our now 18 month old lab/boxer mix, but we couldn't break her of what we thought was household aggression (if you lived here she loved you) after a lot of research and the referral of a friend, we decided All American K9 would be the best fit to get us on track. We both felt that we owed it to our pup to acknowledge that we didn't have the proper tools to train her correctly and had to get the help we needed. Steve and his people were amazing and the customized in-home lessons did the trick. Our pup has now been a completely new dog and we have even been able to go completely off leash the past few days. Steve identified the issue on day one...wasn't household aggression but rather fear and gave us a program to follow, and even included our daughter in the training process (she is 10). Not going to lie, like a lot of things in life, if you want success, you have to put the work in and follow their gameplan, but we couldn't be happier with the results. Definitely recommend All American K9 to anyone who cares about their furry child and wants to give them the best possible chance for a happy and healthy life and being an interactive member of the family.
